Roderick Echols kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Golden Hills's Josh Castaneda got a free kick in the 27th minute. The supporters of Real Juniors booed when Golden Hills was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wiley Hopkins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Theo Zuniga charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Theo Zuniga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Theo Zuniga hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute Exequiel Palacios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norbert Beltran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Norbert Beltran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramon Bonilla in the 34th minute of play. Sam Rice kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Norbert Beltran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramon Bonilla in the 39th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Florian Wirtz during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Golden Hills booed when Real Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florian Wirtz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roderick Echols took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alisson Becker. Real Juniors's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wiley Hopkins in the 48th minute of play forced Real Juniors's goalkeeper Alisson Becker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wiley Hopkins stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ramon Bonilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luther Stover in the 68th minute of play forced Real Juniors's goalkeeper Alisson Becker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Golden Hills's zone, Exequiel Palacios stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norbert Beltran came out of the goal and Exequiel Palacios tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Norbert Beltran was a little too slow when Ramon Bonilla got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Exequiel Palacios managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Exequiel Palacios was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norbert Beltran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ramon Bonilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norbert Beltran having to interfere. Wiley Hopkins took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alisson Becker. Alisson Becker dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1.
