But to his dismay, Henry Wallmark quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 19 minutes into the match, DFP's goal looked a bit too open when Amerigo Belfiore came free, but Carl Carlsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to I ritirandi di Canaus getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Amerigo Belfiore hit a great ball. In the 25thth minute of the game Donato Di Crescenzo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DFP's Carl Carlsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Donato Di Crescenzo got free with Carl Carlsson in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 32nd minute, Alexander Perilli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute, Donato Di Crescenzo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carl Carlsson was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Alex Berti capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alex Berti really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. 41 minutes into the match, Donato Di Crescenzo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carl Carlsson. DFP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donato Di Crescenzo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1.

After 50 played minutes I ritirandi di Canaus got a freekick which was hit by Alex Berti. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henry Wallmark got free with Daniele Raniolo in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniele Raniolo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Lang in the 60th minute of the match. The supporters of DFP booed when I ritirandi di Canaus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carmine Bonanni didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind DFP's goalkeeper Carl Carlsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by DFP's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Amerigo Belfiore was slow to take the kick. During this time I ritirandi di Canaus's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Amerigo Belfiore got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Carl Carlsson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Di Crescenzo in the 69th minute of play forced DFP's goalkeeper Carl Carlsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donato Di Crescenzo in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carl Carlsson saved DFP from getting behind. Carmine Bonanni was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 76 minutes into the match. It was beautiful to see DFP's Konrad Olsson in action when he in the 78th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 79th minute, Elia Di Lorenzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Lars-Erik Flink's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniele Raniolo was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Bruno Falasca managed to get in a good position for a shot. I ritirandi di Canaus's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruno Falasca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carl Carlsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. DFP's Dan Lang got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Donato Di Crescenzo's late challenge caught a DFP's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donato Di Crescenzo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 92nd minute, Donato Di Crescenzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Konrad Olsson struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Daniele Raniolo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DFP. The I ritirandi di Canaus players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
