In the 8th minute, Sílvio Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damian Precioso in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wellington Baiano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amadeo Francesco during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 12th minute, Amadeo Francesco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes into the match, Piratas FC's goalkeeper Paulino Lizer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sílvio Cordeiro. Paulino Lizer made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Sílvio Cordeiro sent off a good shot on target. In the 21st minute Damian Precioso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wellington Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 23 minutes, Amadeo Francesco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piratas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amadeo Francesco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Piratas FC's Damian Precioso in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ekzema F.V.'s goalie prevented a goal. Piratas FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by David Cordarius in the 27th minute. In the 29th match minute, Piratas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florentino Sendoa to maneuver through the defense. Piratas FC were furious when Baldomero Birjaio was red carded, 32 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Piratas FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 33 minutes, Ekzema F.V.'s Samuca Tróia got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Paulino Lizer. Amadeo Francesco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wellington Baiano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. In the 39th match minute, Ekzema F.V. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maicon Linhares to maneuver through the defense. If Alvaro Martxot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Alvaro Martxot came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Piratas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvaro Martxot couldn't finish the play. Piratas FC's Alvaro Martxot quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Maicon Linhares, made in the 46th minute of the game. Wellington Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvaro Martxot, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Murilo Paes made a kick off. Amadeo Francesco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Wellington Baiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Piratas FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. David Aimar hit a great ball. 56 minutes into the game, Maicon Linhares threw the ball into play from the sideline. Piratas FC's David Cordarius quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Alvaro Martxot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute, Márcio de Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute, Fabinho Sarmento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Cordarius struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Wellington Baiano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piratas FC. After a defensive mix-up in Ekzema F.V.'s zone, Amadeo Francesco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wellington Baiano came out of the goal and Amadeo Francesco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Florentino Sendoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington Baiano having to interfere. After 65 minutes of play Ekzema F.V.'s Márcio de Mendonça was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Amadeo Francesco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piratas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amadeo Francesco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wellington Baiano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 70 minutes into the game, Amadeo Francesco recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wellington Baiano. Amadeo Francesco showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 73rd match minute, Piratas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Precioso to maneuver through the defense. Paulino Lizer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murilo Paes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Ekzema F.V.'s Wellington Baiano got control of the ball when David Aimar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lisandro Claude fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington Baiano having to interfere. Amadeo Francesco might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wellington Baiano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amadeo Francesco ran back to his position shaking his head. Wellington Baiano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amadeo Francesco's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. When the match was over Piratas FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ekzema F.V. throughout the match.
