After the first half FC Wil 1900 were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chico Sanches stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Karim Gerber received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mário Meireles came out and tried to block the shot, but Karim Gerber slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 56th minute. When Adriano Bollhalder came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the FC Wil 1900 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adriano Bollhalder couldn't finish the play. After 94 minutes of play, FC Wil 1900's Karim Gerber made it 0-11 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mário Meireles was left in no man's land by his defense there! FC Wil 1900 played a much better game than São Miguel do Oeste.SC and deserved their victory. The São Miguel do Oeste.SC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
