Mark Titmus hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. If Dobromir Ruszczyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 6th minute, Arturo Normando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Dave Ferrell fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ampthill FC's protests and gave Dave Ferrell a yellow card for diving instead. After 7 played minutes Ampthill FC got a freekick which was hit by Dave Ferrell. Lukasz Fudalej was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 8th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ampthill FC's Nial Botham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Piotr Czciborek in the 10th minute of play. The supporters of Gildia Magów booed when Ampthill FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brendon Allanson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Ampthill FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lukasz Fudalej came free, but Nial Botham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nial Botham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lukasz Fudalej in the 15th minute of play. Zack Alderson kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Zack Alderson did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Wawrzyniec Grucza 20 minutes into the match. After 22 played minutes Ampthill FC got a freekick which was hit by Mark Titmus. Wawrzyniec Grucza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jack Potts, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Nial Botham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Janusz Majusiak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Lukasz Fudalej's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nial Botham was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Fitz Pickard hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. 37 minutes into the match, Gildia Magów's Lukasz Fudalej broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After having played for 40 minutes, Janusz Majusiak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gildia Magów's supporters crossed their fingers, but Janusz Majusiak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brendon Allanson charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brendon Allanson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dobromir Ruszczyk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nial Botham read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dobromir Ruszczyk to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Ampthill FC's Mark Titmus got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 51st minute, Lukasz Fudalej sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ampthill FC's Nial Botham didn't even have to move. Wawrzyniec Grucza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zack Alderson, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After 58 minutes of play, Ampthill FC's Zack Alderson made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sebastian Niedziela hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dobromir Ruszczyk in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nial Botham saved Ampthill FC from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dobromir Ruszczyk got free with Nial Botham in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ampthill FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gildia Magów had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
