Spectators: 153 (Terracing: 115, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Betão Araújo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 5 minutes into the match, Velho Barreiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Gonzales came free, but Tadeu Cearense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Diego Gonzales put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Tadeu Cearense. The audience was convinced that Betão Araújo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santiago Demario was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Tadeu Cearense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Gonzales in the 20th minute of play. In the 25th minute Eustacio Raebert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeu Cearense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Velho Barreiro FC's Tadeu Cearense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Gonzales in the 26th minute of play. The supporters of Velho Barreiro FC booed when Argentinos Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrián Domenech didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Argentinos Juniors getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Timoteo Gonzo hit a great ball. With a little luck, Argentinos Juniors's Santiago Demario got control of the ball when Luís Paulo Prata tried to sneak it across the goal line. André Luiz Favoretto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Santiago Demario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 41 played minutes Velho Barreiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Luizinho Félix. Betão Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tadeu Cearense came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Argentinos Juniors's Diego Gonzales. But to his dismay, Diego Gonzales quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3.

The wind increased when Eustacio Raebert made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Diego Gonzales ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tadeu Cearense was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. In the 56th minute, Eustacio Raebert reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tadeu Cearense. The goal made the score 0-5. When Betão Araújo came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Velho Barreiro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Betão Araújo couldn't finish the play. Tadeu Cearense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diego Gonzales in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustacio Raebert in the 66th minute of play forced Velho Barreiro FC's goalkeeper Tadeu Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Velho Barreiro FC's Luizinho Félix got a free kick in the 66th minute. If Baltazar Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Betão Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Betão Araújo in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santiago Demario saved Argentinos Juniors from getting behind. In the 75th minute, Timoteo Gonzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Velho Barreiro FC's Tadeu Cearense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustacio Raebert in the 83rd minute of play. Tadeu Cearense was a little too slow when Eustacio Raebert got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 96th minute. The score was now 0-7. The Argentinos Juniors supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Argentinos Juniors would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
