An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Salles in the 11th minute of play forced Sportivo Chupeño's goalkeeper Agustin Avellaneda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Valentin Abar dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fernandão Penha, 1-0. Agustin Avellaneda came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Castanheiro SC's Kauan Rezende. But to his dismay, Kauan Rezende quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Richard Martins during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 31st match minute, Castanheiro SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Martins to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute Cristian Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustin Avellaneda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Castanheiro SC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Kauan Rezende hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ascencio Abechuco to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Sportivo Chupeño's Agustin Avellaneda got control of the ball when Kauan Rezende tried to sneak it across the goal line. Agustin Avellaneda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Maria Quadros, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 60th minute of the match, Cristian Salles tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Agustin Avellaneda saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Agustin Avellaneda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kauan Rezende, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sportivo Chupeño's Agustin Avellaneda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Salles in the 76th minute of play. Agustin Avellaneda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kauan Rezende's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sportivo Chupeño's zone, Cristian Salles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Agustin Avellaneda came out of the goal and Cristian Salles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Sportivo Chupeño booed when Castanheiro SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dino das Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oihenarte Abalos during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Oihenarte Abalos kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the game, Hélder Madureira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Agustin Avellaneda. Hélder Madureira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Sportivo Chupeño's Agustin Avellaneda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélder Madureira in the 93rd minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Sportivo Chupeño's goal looked a bit too open when Kauan Rezende came free, but Agustin Avellaneda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Kauan Rezende's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Agustin Avellaneda was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Agustin Avellaneda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kauan Rezende went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. The Sportivo Chupeño manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Castanheiro SC to win.
