After a rather tough play, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Caio Barral got a free kick in the 12th minute. Guayra FC's Chu Damião played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano de Moraes in the 21st minute of play. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Wágner Fox got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caio Barral in the 24th minute of play forced Guayra FC's goalkeeper Chu Damião to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guayra FC's Chu Damião played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wágner Fox in the 32nd minute of play. Cristiano de Moraes took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chu Damião. Chu Damião dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 38 minutes into the match, Wágner Fox had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chu Damião. Guayra FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wágner Fox was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wágner Fox in the 45th minute of play forced Guayra FC's goalkeeper Chu Damião to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tadeu Freire made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Caio Barral during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 53rd minute, Caio Barral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute of the match Jânio Tepedino shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valdemar Quadros showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 58th minute, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Raimundo Coutinho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Chu Damião took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wágner Fox, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guayra FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Caio Barral scored to the left of an out of position Chu Damião, making the score, 0-4. A hard shot 66 in the game by Raimundo Coutinho from a close distance when the talented Chu Damião managed to make a qualified save. Guayra FC's players were relieved. In the 69th minute, Tadeu Freire ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valdemar Quadros was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Joaquim de Queirós's late challenge caught a Guayra FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joaquim de Queirós helped the player get up and apologised. Guayra FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Wágner Fox 76 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-5. Chu Damião made an important save on a dangerous shot by Caio Barral in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute Edmílson Rossi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdemar Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdemar Quadros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeu Freire, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. 84 minutes into the match, Guayra FC's goalkeeper Chu Damião had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raimundo Coutinho. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmílson Rossi in the 85th minute of play forced Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s goalkeeper Valdemar Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cícero Veiga in the 93rd minute. The Guayra FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s performance. The match ended with a win for Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-.
