The Villa Gordiani fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabrizio Melfi should have stopped the shot. In the 16th minute, Amedeo Scarpa made a precise shot to the right of Jose Manuel Sempere. INTOCABLES 2oo4's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 19th minute Damian Abrego shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabrizio Melfi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabrizio Melfi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Ángel Mista in the 24th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Amedeo Scarpa could shoot a difficult shot in the 39th minute, which Jose Manuel Sempere however easily saved by the left post. The audience was convinced that Miguel Ángel Mista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabrizio Melfi was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. In the 45th minute, Miguel Ángel Mista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in INTOCABLES 2oo4's zone, Natã de Salles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jose Manuel Sempere came out of the goal and Natã de Salles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Villa Gordiani's Fabrizio Melfi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Villa Gordiani from getting a goal against them. 62 minutes into the match, Villa Gordiani's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Abrego came free, but Fabrizio Melfi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
