Rafael Dallris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Paraíba in the 21st minute of play. Mané Viana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerry Dejonckheere in the 23rd minute of the match. Jarbas Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Eusébio Paraíba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusébio Paraíba might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rafael Dallris. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eusébio Paraíba ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Eduardo Pinho in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafael Dallris saved Mixto Esporte Clube from getting behind. Patrick Recife recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Big Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafael Dallris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Paraíba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eusébio Paraíba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 52 minutes, Rafael Dallris successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 53rd minute AC Metropol were awarded a corner. Luiz Eduardo Pinho went to the cornerflag to take it. If Jarbas Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, AC Metropol's Eusébio Paraíba got a free kick in the 57th minute. Rafael Dallris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Recife in the 60th minute of the match. The supporters of AC Metropol booed when Mixto Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clemente Peixoto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Mixto Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Recife came free, but Rafael Dallris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Big Machado couldn't finish the play. In the 80th match minute, AC Metropol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Big Machado to maneuver through the defense. Rafael Dallris had great luck who in the 83rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Eusébio Paraíba from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The supporters of Mixto Esporte Clube booed when AC Metropol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarbas Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jerry Dejonckheere blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mané Viana having to make a save. When Patrick Recife fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC Metropol's protests and gave Patrick Recife a yellow card for diving instead. Rafael Dallris made an important save on a dangerous shot by Big Machado in the 95th minute.
