Efrain Veremundo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hermano Bragança kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute Ricardo Douros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Efrain Veremundo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vicente Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaspar Flores, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Gaspar Flores could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Vicente Moreira made a huge save. Efrain Veremundo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Eanes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Portucale H5's Vicente Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Froilan Quinito in the 88th minute of play. If Froilan Quinito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the match, Antonio Berbiz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vicente Moreira, 1-6.
