Canidelense's goal looked a bit too open when Miklós Bogdán came free, but Éder Moita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute, Levente Makkai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Éder Moita was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Éder Moita came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Szajk LC's Levente Makkai. But to his dismay, Levente Makkai quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. A collision led to S.C. Canidelense getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Filipo Inzaghi hit a great ball. The supporters of Szajk LC booed when S.C. Canidelense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Szajk LC's Roland Gergely broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Éder Moita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miklós Bogdán went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. A collision led to S.C. Canidelense getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Ive Schamp hit a great ball. In the 38th minute, Miklós Bogdán made a precise shot to the right of Éder Moita. S.C. Canidelense's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Levente Makkai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Éder Moita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Szajk LC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Levente Makkai stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. S.C. Canidelense's Éder Moita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save S.C. Canidelense from getting a goal against them. When Siniša Mihajlović came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Szajk LC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Siniša Mihajlović couldn't finish the play. In the 61st match minute, Szajk LC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lajos Szuper to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Roland Gergely managed to get in a good position for a shot. Szajk LC's supporters rose to their feet, but Roland Gergely was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Éder Moita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Szajk LC's Sámuel Kádár was substituted for Lajos Szuper. Éder Moita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Levente Makkai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. S.C. Canidelense's Éder Moita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Levente Makkai in the 74th minute of play. Filipo Inzaghi charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filipo Inzaghi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Szajk LC booed when S.C. Canidelense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipo Inzaghi didn't get a good kick on the ball. S.C. Canidelense's Éder Moita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siniša Mihajlović in the 80th minute of play. After having played for 82 minutes, Roland Gergely managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Szajk LC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roland Gergely was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 88 minutes into the match, S.C. Canidelense's goal looked a bit too open when Levente Makkai came free, but Éder Moita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
