An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandu Alexa in the 6th minute of play forced Predators's goalkeeper Uchenna Panter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cyryl Bojanowski in the 7thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Adam Northe, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Predators's Cyryl Bojanowski was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 16th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. With his leg Adam Northe managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Predators's Cyryl Bojanowski fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cyryl Bojanowski in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Adam Northe, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 34 minutes of play, Predators's Çakır Baycan made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adam Northe was left in no man's land by his defense there! Adam Northe was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Çakır Baycan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Çakır Baycan really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Uchenna Panter didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sandu Alexa went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cyryl Bojanowski made a kick off. 5-1 became the score in the 54th minute when Çakır Baycan elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. A collision led to Rot-Weiss-Essen getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Udo Käppeler hit a great ball. Adam Northe came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Predators's Cyryl Bojanowski. But to his dismay, Cyryl Bojanowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. Predators's Uchenna Panter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erkan Fostiropoulos in the 62nd minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Predators's goalkeeper Uchenna Panter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sandu Alexa. Sandu Alexa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Uchenna Panter made a huge save. A collision led to Predators getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Abdulvahit Kongur hit a great ball. After 86 played minutes Rot-Weiss-Essen got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Krinke. In the 88th match minute, Predators was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto-Jose Baggio to maneuver through the defense. If Erkan Fostiropoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 90 minutes, Çakır Baycan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Predators's supporters crossed their fingers, but Çakır Baycan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Predators fully deserved thier win.
