The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Yoachim Hauwaerts did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Periklis Theofilou 19 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Yoachim Hauwaerts left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Suikerklontjes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After 29 played minutes Αστέρας Δερβενίου got a freekick which was hit by Koulis Rapanos. In the 34thth minute of the game Bart Van de Velde who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Αστέρας Δερβενίου's Periklis Theofilou was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 37 minutes of play, Suikerklontjes's Bart Van de Velde made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Periklis Theofilou was left in no man's land by his defense there! Periklis Theofilou was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Yoachim Hauwaerts capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Yoachim Hauwaerts really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Bryan Van Deuren struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Periklis Theofilou didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Suikerklontjes. Periklis Theofilou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bryan Van Deuren, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Αστέρας Δερβενίου's Periklis Theofilou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yoachim Hauwaerts in the 63rd minute of play. Savas Lazaris charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Savas Lazaris the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Periklis Theofilou didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Suikerklontjes's Bart Van de Velde shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 8-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Periklis Theofilou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bart Van de Velde, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 88th minute Bart Van de Velde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Periklis Theofilou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
