Igor Gipuzkoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Michael Brask, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. When Baldomero Baladi fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético Matorrales's protests and gave Baldomero Baladi a yellow card for diving instead. After 41 played minutes Atlético Matorrales got a freekick which was hit by Baldomero Baladi. In the 42ndth minute of the game Karl-Michael Brask who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Matorrales's Igor Gipuzkoa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Atlético Matorrales's Aureliano Honrio got a free kick in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The audience was convinced that Karl-Michael Brask's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Igor Gipuzkoa was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. In the 82nd minute, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Xerxes Doro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
