With a little luck, FC Bansko's Dragolyub Búrdarov got control of the ball when Eugenio Antonini tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dave Bassani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Venko Petrov, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Dave Bassani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Venko Petrov in the 18th minute of the match. Arrigo De Simone kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nedelcho Gutzov in the 20th minute of play forced Aversa's goalkeeper Dave Bassani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Aversa's Eugenio Antonini got a free kick in the 24th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Aversa's zone, Venko Petrov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dave Bassani came out of the goal and Venko Petrov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dragolyub Búrdarov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessio Troiani in the 27th minute of play. In the 30th minute Nedelcho Gutzov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Bassani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Corrado Barresi kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nedelcho Gutzov in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dave Bassani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Nedelcho Gutzov sped through Aversa's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dave Bassani. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eugenio Antonini got free with Dragolyub Búrdarov in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 36th minute Nedelcho Gutzov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Bassani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A throw-in in the 39th minute of the game was made by Stanislav Korunov with Venko Petrov as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. FC Bansko's Nedelcho Gutzov got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, Aversa's goal looked a bit too open when Venko Petrov came free, but Dave Bassani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dave Bassani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nedelcho Gutzov in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eugenio Antonini to strike the kick off in the second half. Venko Petrov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dave Bassani having to interfere. Dave Bassani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nedelcho Gutzov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arrigo De Simone kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Venko Petrov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Bansko fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Dave Bassani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nedelcho Gutzov in the 68th minute of the match. When Arrigo De Simone fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aversa's protests and gave Arrigo De Simone a yellow card for diving instead. 81 minutes into the game, one of FC Bansko:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Dragolyub Búrdarov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessio Troiani, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 90th minute Eugenio Antonini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dragolyub Búrdarov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FC Bansko walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
