After 20 minutes, Presebal Freire mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sperides and the Valencia CF Mindszent players grew even worse after the yellow card. Valencia CF Mindszent's Viktor Tolnai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Presebal Freire in the 43rd minute of play. In the 46th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Szilárd Virágh hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half.
