Spectators: 145 (Terracing: 110, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Baldomiro Oliverios took the kick off in the first half of the match. Agustin Iraido's late challenge caught a Gaviotas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Agustin Iraido helped the player get up and apologised. In the 2nd match minute, Hortensia FCG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustin Iraido to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Gaviotas FC's Ildefonso Ortle slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Melquiades Firman. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. Domingos Urdin's late challenge caught a Gaviotas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Domingos Urdin helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Gaviotas FC booed when Hortensia FCG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingos Urdin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute of the match Casimiro Lopez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Melquiades Firman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Melquiades Firman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casimiro Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 16 minutes into the game, Baldomiro Oliverios cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Melquiades Firman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Baldomiro Oliverios could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Melquiades Firman made a huge save. Melquiades Firman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casimiro Lopez in the 19th minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Sebastian Gimenez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Melquiades Firman. Sebastian Gimenez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Gavino Luke came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Hortensia FCG's Agustin Iraido. But to his dismay, Agustin Iraido quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. After having played for 30 minutes, Anacleto Lalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hortensia FCG's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anacleto Lalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rd minute, Serafino Ferran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Melquiades Firman acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 34th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Casimiro Lopez. After some careless play in the Gaviotas FC defense, Agustin Iraido kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gavino Luke. The Gaviotas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gavino Luke should have stopped the shot. Melquiades Firman made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Baldomiro Oliverios sent off a good shot on target. Hortensia FCG's Melquiades Firman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Hortensia FCG from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casimiro Lopez in the 45th minute of play forced Hortensia FCG's goalkeeper Melquiades Firman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Natalio Abreu charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Natalio Abreu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Hortensia FCG's Natalio Abreu got a free kick in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Agustin Iraido stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Gaviotas FC booed when Hortensia FCG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustin Iraido didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Gaviotas FC's Damian Rufo got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute Sebastian Gimenez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Firman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaviotas FC made a substitution. Mariano Stephen replaced Isidro Vimaro. In the 64th minute, Agustin Iraido made a precise shot to the right of Gavino Luke. Gaviotas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3. Gaviotas FC's Anastasio Arce was substituted for Sebastian Gimenez. Melquiades Firman came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Gaviotas FC's Baldomiro Oliverios. But to his dismay, Baldomiro Oliverios quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-3. Melquiades Firman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baldomiro Oliverios went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-3 was the resulting score. If Agustin Iraido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gavino Luke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anacleto Lalla in the 82nd minute. Hortensia FCG's Natalio Abreu got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Hortensia FCG getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Serafino Ferran hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the match, Baldomiro Oliverios had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Melquiades Firman. Hortensia FCG's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baldomiro Oliverios was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-3. Gaviotas FC's Casimiro Lopez got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rodolfo Ursino scored 8-3 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Melquiades Firman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the Gaviotas FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
