After 3rd play minutes Gustavo Souza shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Melquiades Firman and just under the crossbar into goal. 6 minutes into the match, Hortensia FCG's goal looked a bit too open when Caco Mota came free, but Melquiades Firman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Melquiades Firman came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by EDI MZB's Gustavo Souza. But to his dismay, Gustavo Souza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 23rd minute Caco Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Firman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Hortensia FCG defense, Caco Mota kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Melquiades Firman. The Hortensia FCG fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Melquiades Firman should have stopped the shot. Gustavo Souza took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Melquiades Firman. Melquiades Firman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Hortensia FCG's Melquiades Firman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caco Mota in the 35th minute of play. After 37 minutes, Teofil Pisarcik made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Hortensia FCG's Melquiades Firman tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The EDI MZB fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when EDI MZB's Gustavo Souza looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 45 minutes into the game, Caco Mota cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Melquiades Firman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 48 minutes into the match, Hortensia FCG's goal looked a bit too open when Teofil Pisarcik came free, but Melquiades Firman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half EDI MZB were leading 0-8. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anacleto Lalla made a kick off. Teofil Pisarcik's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Melquiades Firman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute Caco Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Firman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When %teams%'s Teofil Pisarcik was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 0-9 just inside the left pole, 58 minutes into the game. Melquiades Firman was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. Melquiades Firman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teofil Pisarcik in the 61st minute of the match. Melquiades Firman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustavo Souza went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-15 was the resulting score. EDI MZB's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
