After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Kaj Låsberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC Cherries's supporters rose to their feet, but Kaj Låsberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Veselko Recko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 10 minutes into the game, Mujo Tavčar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. NK FOLKROLA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFC Cherries the free kick. After a rather tough play, NK FOLKROLA's Mujo Tavčar got a free kick in the 10th minute. Jan Trachta's late challenge caught a NK FOLKROLA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jan Trachta helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th match minute, AFC Cherries was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Trachta to maneuver through the defense. AFC Cherries's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jan Duspiva in the 15th minute. AFC Cherries's Jan Duspiva was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Veselko Recko in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andrej Vindar made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in NK FOLKROLA's zone, Jan Duspiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Veselko Recko came out of the goal and Jan Duspiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Veselko Recko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaj Låsberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Veselko Recko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kaj Låsberg's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrej Vindar got free with Guto Jacinto in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If David Ulrich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kaj Låsberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Veselko Recko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 73 minutes of play, AFC Cherries's Kaj Låsberg made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Veselko Recko was left in no man's land by his defense there! Guto Jacinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrej Vindar, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind NK FOLKROLA's goalkeeper Veselko Recko, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. AFC Cherries walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
