The audience was convinced that Lucas Chance's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hernan Ellande was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Leo Delfino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gaby Batistuta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zacarias Qwinton hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfonso Quinito during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Devoto club social getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Alfonso Quinito hit a great ball. When Severo Goiz fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Academia Club's protests and gave Severo Goiz a yellow card for diving instead. After 94 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Academia Club! The referee gave Devoto club social a penalty, 97 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dante Michael, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Academia Club's Hernan Ellande. 2-2.
