Pihl United's Gottfrid Haström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Örjan Frisk in the 26th minute of play. Luis-Miguel Camara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Ferreira in the 43rd minute of the match. If Örjan Frisk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simon Kihlberg lost his temper 46 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Luis-Miguel Camara had in the 48thth minute some difficulties stopping Shea Caballero's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball Shea Caballero scored 3-0 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luis-Miguel Camara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tommy Sundberg to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee ignored Pihl United's protests and gave Shea Caballero a yellow card for diving instead. In the 97th match minute, Pihl United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shea Caballero to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pihl United fans cheered their team off the field, for while Strömsbro IF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
