Kiko Soeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pepillo Francia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Gremio NG's zone, Pepillo Francia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kiko Soeiro came out of the goal and Pepillo Francia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kiko Soeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pepillo Francia, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Austral FC's Isaac Ioritz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kiko Soeiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kiko Soeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaac Ioritz in the 32nd minute of play.
