Hilario Avellaneda's late challenge caught a Squadra de Pippe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 15th minute of the match Bengi Rana sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gaston Oskarbi skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrea Cianci in the 24th minute of play forced RIVER's goalkeeper Gaston Oskarbi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Anthony Volpe successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, Squadra de Pippe's Anfilogino Gaeta got a free kick in the 40th minute. Cesare Di Loreto hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute Ismael Medina Bello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anthony Volpe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, Ismael Medina Bello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Squadra de Pippe's goalkeeper Anthony Volpe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When RIVER's Ismael Medina Bello in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Pascual Austin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. RIVER had won after a very even match.
