Alberto Ridding stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carolo Cristos's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Alberto Ridding took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubaldo Mogel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Carolo Cristos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alberto Ridding was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. In the 14th match minute, Adelaide was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Neale Norton to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Adelaide's goalkeeper Alberto Ridding, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alberto Ridding showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ubaldo Mogel, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. The ORIZABA F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when ORIZABA F.C.'s Victor Castellani looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Alberto Ridding made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carolo Cristos in the 39th minute of play. Alberto Ridding came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by ORIZABA F.C.'s Victor Castellani. But to his dismay, Victor Castellani quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Douglas Christian stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 52 minutes, Alberto Ridding successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 56th minute, Carolo Cristos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alberto Ridding. The goal made the score 0-6. Ubaldo Mogel succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-7 in the 60th playminute. 63 minutes into the match, ORIZABA F.C.'s Victor Castellani sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alberto Ridding narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 65th minute Victor Castellani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Ridding saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, ORIZABA F.C.'s Arturo Serafo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alberto Ridding. Alberto Ridding yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-9. If Zeledon Oinaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute Victor Castellani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Ridding saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute of the match, Ubaldo Mogel got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alberto Ridding was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Victor Castellani received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alberto Ridding came out and tried to block the shot, but Victor Castellani slotted it home off the left post making it 0-10 in the 80th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carolo Cristos in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alberto Ridding saved Adelaide from getting behind. Victor Castellani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Alberto Ridding tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Adelaide booed when ORIZABA F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albano Rodriguez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute of the match Cregan Porteus sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ramon George skillfully saved the ball. When ORIZABA F.C.'s Victor Castellani in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Adelaide's goalie prevented a goal. When the final whistle sounded ORIZABA F.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Adelaide.
