Luís Guilherme de Lara came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Vershina ESPN's Olexiy Bykaniv. But to his dismay, Olexiy Bykaniv quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to Montalcino SE getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Emílio Leão hit a great ball. Luís Guilherme de Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Volodymyr Ovcharenko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Volodymyr Ovcharenko scored 0-2 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Guilherme de Lara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Montalcino SE defense, Volodymyr Ovcharenko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Guilherme de Lara. The Montalcino SE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Guilherme de Lara should have stopped the shot. João Adolfo da Silva hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Luís Guilherme de Lara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Volodymyr Ovcharenko's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. 31 minutes into the game, Volodymyr Ovcharenko cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Luís Guilherme de Lara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luís Guilherme de Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Volodymyr Ovcharenko in the 36th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, João Adolfo da Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anton Pavlenko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Luís Guilherme de Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Vershina ESPN were furious when Volodymyr Kychak was red carded, 45 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. A collision led to FC Vershina ESPN getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Volodymyr Kychak hit a great ball. Ernani Meira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Edvin van der Sar made a huge save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olexiy Bykaniv was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of FC Vershina ESPN booed when Montalcino SE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Maciel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 53 played minutes Montalcino SE got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Leão. Luís Guilherme de Lara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olexiy Bykaniv in the 56th minute. Edvin van der Sar came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Montalcino SE's Ernani Meira. But to his dismay, Ernani Meira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Anton Pavlenko in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luís Guilherme de Lara, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in FC Vershina ESPN's zone, Duda Vianna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edvin van der Sar came out of the goal and Duda Vianna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 73 minutes into the game, Olexiy Bykaniv recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luís Guilherme de Lara. Olexiy Bykaniv showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. After 75 played minutes Montalcino SE got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Leão. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duda Vianna in the 80th minute of play forced FC Vershina ESPN's goalkeeper Edvin van der Sar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rio Ferdinand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Vershina ESPN played a much better game than Montalcino SE and deserved their victory. The Montalcino SE players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
