After 25 played minutes, Delta FS's Angelo Carvalhal shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Edvin van der Sar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Delta FS reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andaka Mellon in the 26th minute of play forced FC Vershina ESPN's goalkeeper Edvin van der Sar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, FC Vershina ESPN's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Carvalhal came free, but Edvin van der Sar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Vershina ESPN's Edvin van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Carvalhal in the 53rd minute of play. After 55 played minutes Delta FS got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Vilar. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Olexiy Bykaniv managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Vershina ESPN's supporters rose to their feet, but Olexiy Bykaniv was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tarcísio Leite breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ivan Leitão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edvin van der Sar having to make a save.
