When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Korneliusz Jaroch took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Benjámin Csontos to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Máté Kiss managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Máté Kiss was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florian Mudry breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC's Benjámin Csontos got control of the ball when Korneliusz Jaroch tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Korneliusz Jaroch was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, LOTOS WARSZAWA's goal looked a bit too open when Máté Kiss came free, but Florian Mudry reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. László Csank sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Máté Kiss in the 62nd minute of play forced LOTOS WARSZAWA's goalkeeper Florian Mudry to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Máté Kiss couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC's Florian Mudry threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Máté Kiss, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 81st minute of the match, Máté Kiss tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Florian Mudry saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Korneliusz Jaroch sped through Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benjámin Csontos. LOTOS WARSZAWA's Marian Skirzynski was substituted for Wincenty Jaszynski. In the 87th minute Wojciech Glaza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjámin Csontos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. László Csank received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Florian Mudry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
