Artur Arantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chano Iglesias having to interfere. Artur Arantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Chano Iglesias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, ReyPoxo's Benvide Harroyo got a free kick in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Aloísio Arruda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Barral. 16 minutes in the game Wesley Pimenta did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Andrézinho Gaúcho. Chano Iglesias didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Artur Arantes went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Sandrinho Travassos hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. When Benvide Harroyo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 24 minutes had been played. After 24 played minutes ReyPoxo got a freekick which was hit by Benvide Harroyo. 26 minutes into the match, ReyPoxo's goal looked a bit too open when Nuno Gomes came free, but Chano Iglesias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chano Iglesias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Gomes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chano Iglesias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrézinho Gaúcho, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After a defensive mix-up in ReyPoxo's zone, Artur Arantes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chano Iglesias came out of the goal and Artur Arantes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute, Nuno Gomes made a precise shot to the right of Chano Iglesias. ReyPoxo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 40 minutes into the match, Artur Arantes notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of ReyPoxo's Chano Iglesias. Chano Iglesias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Barral to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes Maxaranguape - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Sandrinho Travassos. In the 57th minute, Vágner Figueiredo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chano Iglesias was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Nuno Gomess short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Chano Iglesias to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Maxaranguape - FSCMZ booed when ReyPoxo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Barral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nuno Gomes in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chano Iglesias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andrézinho Gaúcho struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Chano Iglesias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maxaranguape - FSCMZ. After a rather tough play, ReyPoxo's Xulio Medina got a free kick in the 95th minute. Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
