The supporters of Winthont FC booed when La Scaloneta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltasar Maurin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute, Marc van Nistelrooij reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lolo Lorenzo. The goal made the score 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in La Scaloneta's zone, Marc van Nistelrooij stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lolo Lorenzo came out of the goal and Marc van Nistelrooij tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lolo Lorenzo was a little too slow when Hermengildo Nesor got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 28th minute. The score was now 3-0. Lolo Lorenzo made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Hermengildo Nesor sent off a good shot on target. In the 33rd minute Marc van Nistelrooij shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lolo Lorenzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. La Scaloneta's Lolo Lorenzo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save La Scaloneta from getting a goal against them. Hermengildo Nesor struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Lolo Lorenzo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Winthont FC. A collision led to La Scaloneta getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Filomeno Sidro hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marc van Nistelrooij stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the game, Sebastian Fagondo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Winthont FC's Igor Fujara quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Lolo Lorenzo came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Winthont FC's Marc van Nistelrooij. But to his dismay, Marc van Nistelrooij quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermengildo Nesor in the 54th minute of play forced La Scaloneta's goalkeeper Lolo Lorenzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the La Scaloneta defense, Marc van Nistelrooij kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lolo Lorenzo. The La Scaloneta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lolo Lorenzo should have stopped the shot. Winthont FC's Sixto Gorbea was substituted for Hermengildo Nesor. 62 minutes into the match, Winthont FC's Igor Fujara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lolo Lorenzo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 63 minutes La Scaloneta's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Igor Fujara who took care of the corner kick. Dennis Beerthuis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Garoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for La Scaloneta! In the 72nd minute, Anacleto Lauro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sixto Gorbea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lolo Lorenzo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. When Winthont FC's Sixto Gorbea in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye La Scaloneta's goalie prevented a goal. 76 minutes into the match, Sixto Gorbea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lolo Lorenzo. La Scaloneta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sixto Gorbea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. When Prudencio Lauren fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Scaloneta's protests and gave Prudencio Lauren a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th match minute, La Scaloneta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prudencio Lauren to maneuver through the defense. If Marc van Nistelrooij had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sixto Gorbea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lolo Lorenzo having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Garoa got free with Dennis Beerthuis in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lolo Lorenzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sixto Gorbea, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 90th minute, Evaristo Txaran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to La Scaloneta getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Baltasar Maurin hit a great ball. Lolo Lorenzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sixto Gorbea, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Winthont FC had played much better football throughout.
