Dušan Kofroň didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eloy Oxarra went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Anatolij Dirda kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Manuel Eutropio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Delfines fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 33 played minutes Los Delfines got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Iraido. Jaroslav Hromas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robustiano Ramirez having to interfere. Cayetano Rolado charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cayetano Rolado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 44 minutes into the match, Eloy Oxarra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dušan Kofroň. Moneyball's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eloy Oxarra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Jaroslav Hromas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Robustiano Ramirez. That made the score 1-3 in the 49 minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eloy Oxarra to make the kick off. Freddy Krueger kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Venancio Eate hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eloy Oxarra got free with Dušan Kofroň in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 61 minutes into the match, Los Delfines's goal looked a bit too open when Václav Abrahám came free, but Robustiano Ramirez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the game, Celestino Hats was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los Delfines's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Moneyball the free kick. In the 65th match minute, Los Delfines was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celestino Hats to maneuver through the defense. Gaspar Iraido kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Eloy Oxarra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dušan Kofroň read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th match minute, Moneyball was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Hlušička to maneuver through the defense. When Gaspar Iraido fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Delfines's protests and gave Gaspar Iraido a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Moneyball booed when Los Delfines was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Iraido didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robustiano Ramirez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaroslav Hromas in the 80th minute of play. After having played for 95 minutes, Jan Hlušička managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moneyball's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan Hlušička was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jaroslav Hromas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
