The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Andrézinho Braga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leão de Judá's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Medoacus Maior the free kick. In the 3rd minute, Andrézinho Braga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Leão de Judá's zone, Cristoforo Barbanti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Paulo Brito came out of the goal and Cristoforo Barbanti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th minute, Medoacus Maior's Franco Nicolai ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind José Paulo Brito. José Paulo Brito yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Franco Nicolai's late challenge caught a Leão de Judá's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Franco Nicolai helped the player get up and apologised. Camillo Colecchia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but José Paulo Brito made a huge save. Thomás Vieira charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thomás Vieira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Leão de Judá's Thomás Vieira got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute of the match, Fabrizio Piccirilli tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but José Paulo Brito saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Camillo Colecchia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but José Paulo Brito made a huge save. The supporters of Medoacus Maior booed when Leão de Judá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomás Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Paulo Brito made an important save on a dangerous shot by Camillo Colecchia in the 37th minute. After a rather tough play, Medoacus Maior's Ettore Zollino got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute, Doni Figueiredo made a precise shot to the right of Flavio Corrente. Medoacus Maior's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simão Nascimento in the 47th minute of play forced Medoacus Maior's goalkeeper Flavio Corrente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

José Paulo Brito came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Medoacus Maior's Camillo Colecchia. But to his dismay, Camillo Colecchia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. The supporters of Medoacus Maior booed when Leão de Judá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tarcisio de Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristoforo Barbanti, 65 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Maurício Marques hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. After 73 minutes of play Leão de Judá's Thomás Vieira was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Thomás Vieira kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. A collision led to Medoacus Maior getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Emilio Palumbo hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the match, Medoacus Maior's goal looked a bit too open when Simão Nascimento came free, but Flavio Corrente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Leão de Judá defense, Bernardo Moretta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Paulo Brito. The Leão de Judá fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Paulo Brito should have stopped the shot. In the 88th minute Camillo Colecchia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Paulo Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Camillo Colecchia in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Paulo Brito saved Leão de Judá from getting behind. There was no doubt that Medoacus Maior were the better team. Medoacus Maior's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
