Gernando Bueno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Olof Ahlrot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gil Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oskar Bruhn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oskar Bruhn took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gil Coelho. Gil Coelho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Jens-Åke Samuelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Coelho having to interfere. Gernando Bueno kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rick Cabezon was the one to do the kick off. Gil Coelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marko Löv, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute.
