The Mixto Esporte Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Germano Galvão should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Racing Matinette booed when Mixto Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kléberson Rosado didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Soren Hauwaerts's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Germano Galvão was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Germano Galvão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Soren Wilmots, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute, Soren Hauwaerts got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Germano Galvão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Soren Hauwaerts's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Andy Goovaerts got his second yellow card in the match during the 55th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. 59 minutes into the match, Marcus Hermes notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Racing Matinette's Lucas Geijselinckx. Lucas Geijselinckx was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpected shot in the 64th minute by Walter Verstuyft got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, Mixto Esporte Clube's Germano Galvão got control of the ball when Walter Verstuyft tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 66 played minutes Mixto Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Rodriguinho Pinheiro. Walter Verstuyft hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Thibau Van den Haute hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Walter Verstuyft took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Germano Galvão. With a little luck, Mixto Esporte Clube's Germano Galvão got control of the ball when Walter Verstuyft tried to sneak it across the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Soren Wilmots dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Germano Galvão, 1-7. Jeremias Madureira's late challenge caught a Racing Matinette's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeremias Madureira helped the player get up and apologised. Jeremias Madureira kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Racing Matinette's Matias Deferme tried to score from far away in the 88th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Germano Galvão was out of position in the 92 minute of play, and Walter Verstuyft capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Walter Verstuyft really showed his touch with that goal: 1-8.
