The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vladimir Blokhin made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Jonathan Carlomagno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Днепр ФК's Sergey Bilyaletdinov got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 57th match minute, Днепр ФК was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerasim Zastavskiy to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Ildefonso Vellito kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Irakliy Khokhlov. That made the score 2-1 in the 59 minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Днепр ФК's goal looked a bit too open when Horacio Milian came free, but Irakliy Khokhlov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Vladimir Blokhin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Днепр ФК fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. If Horacio Milian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vladimir Blokhin hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. A collision led to Днепр ФК getting a freekick after 95 minutes play.
