After 10 played minutes Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Roger Camargo. In the 14th match minute, Academia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Salvidor to maneuver through the defense. After 21 minutes of play, Academia FC's Jorge Martxot made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Albertinho Vaz was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Jorge Martxot's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albertinho Vaz was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Geraldo Aguiar to make the kick off. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorge Martxot got free with Albertinho Vaz in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Jorge Martxot came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Academia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Martxot couldn't finish the play. Federico Nicholas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Albertinho Vaz made a huge save. A collision led to Academia FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Jorge Martxot hit a great ball. Albertinho Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Martxot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. booed when Academia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uriel Isidor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fausto Argider sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Academia FC's Federico Nicholas got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 90th match minute, Academia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uriel Isidor to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute Olavo Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angel Etxeberri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albertinho Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Martxot in the 96th minute of the match. Academia FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
