Christiano Cearense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damien van Putten in the 7th minute of play forced Itajaí Football Club's goalkeeper Christiano Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 8 minutes, Pascal Beukenkamp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AC Pitt Bier and the Itajaí Football Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Itajaí Football Club booed when AC Pitt Bier was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascal Beukenkamp didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Marco Hak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christiano Cearense was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. 13 minutes into the match, Itajaí Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Damien van Putten came free, but Christiano Cearense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 16 minutes, Danilo Hermes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itajaí Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danilo Hermes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 22 minutes of play, AC Pitt Bier's Johannes Rogaars made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christiano Cearense was left in no man's land by his defense there! Christiano Cearense came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by AC Pitt Bier's Johannes Rogaars. But to his dismay, Johannes Rogaars quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Christiano Cearense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Hak in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd match minute, Itajaí Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norberto Abreu to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute, Johannes Rogaars made a precise shot to the right of Christiano Cearense. Itajaí Football Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Christiano Cearense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johannes Rogaars, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Juarês Gerber kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Niels Rensenbrink. That made the score 1-5 in the 41 minute of play. Johannes Rogaars took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christiano Cearense. Christiano Cearense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. The Itajaí Football Club players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. AC Pitt Bier were winning 1-6.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bram Smits was the one to do the kick off. Christiano Cearense was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bram Smits showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-7 in the 51 minute of play. 53 minutes into the game, one of Itajaí Football Club:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johannes Rogaars in the 62nd minute of play forced Itajaí Football Club's goalkeeper Christiano Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Niels Rensenbrink showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elivélton Berger in the 64th minute of the match. A collision led to Itajaí Football Club getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Elói Carioca hit a great ball. Niels Rensenbrink came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Itajaí Football Club's Elói Carioca. But to his dismay, Elói Carioca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-8. AC Pitt Bier's Wilfried Oude Kamphuis was substituted for Klaas Rijkaard. After a rather tough play, AC Pitt Bier's Wilfried Oude Kamphuis got a free kick in the 81st minute. AC Pitt Bier made a substitution. Pieter-Jan Roeles replaced Marco Hak. In the 82nd minute, Wilfried Oude Kamphuis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 84 played minutes Itajaí Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Juarês Gerber. After a defensive mix-up in Itajaí Football Club's zone, Pieter-Jan Roeles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christiano Cearense came out of the goal and Pieter-Jan Roeles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 97 played minutes Itajaí Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Elói Carioca. In the 98th minute, Twan Lute reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Christiano Cearense. The goal made the score 2-9. The AC Pitt Bier supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AC Pitt Bier would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
