Henry Ödmann hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the match, Melchester Rovers's goal looked a bit too open when 何霆誉 came free, but Jörgen Lundqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Melchester Rovers's Jörgen Lundqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Melchester Rovers from getting a goal against them. In the 26th match minute, Melchester Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Aronsson to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Melchester Rovers's Tony Aronsson got a free kick in the 31st minute. Jörgen Lundqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 何霆誉 in the 35th minute of play. 郝广震 didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andréas Sundin went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gert Arvidsson was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by 齐轩浩 in the 51st minute of play forced Melchester Rovers's goalkeeper Jörgen Lundqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jörgen Lundqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 韩烽康 in the 59th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, 上海绿地申花足球俱乐部's goalkeeper 郝广震 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gert Arvidsson. In the 75th minute, Tony Aronsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by 傅挺岚 during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 韩烽康 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Melchester Rovers players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented 上海绿地申花足球俱乐部 from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
