América-SC F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PS Gunung Sindur the free kick. Yonas Simanungkalit's late challenge caught a América-SC F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yonas Simanungkalit helped the player get up and apologised. Yonas Simanungkalit hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute, Ponco Gutawa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PS Gunung Sindur fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 27 minutes into the match, Paulo Antunes notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of PS Gunung Sindur's Djati Sujarwadi. Djati Sujarwadi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to PS Gunung Sindur getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Yosef Rojak hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juvenal Seco in the 35th minute of play forced PS Gunung Sindur's goalkeeper Djati Sujarwadi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Djati Sujarwadi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Antunes in the 39th minute of the match. Ponco Gutawa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Luizinho Dias made a huge save. In the 43rd match minute, América-SC F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulysses Linares to maneuver through the defense.

PS Gunung Sindur's Djati Sujarwadi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juvenal Seco in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd match minute, PS Gunung Sindur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yonas Simanungkalit to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, PS Gunung Sindur's Dono Ginanjar got a free kick in the 54th minute. PS Gunung Sindur's Tintus Makariem was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Luizinho Dias in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Yosef Rojak fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PS Gunung Sindur's protests and gave Yosef Rojak a yellow card for diving instead. Yosef Rojak kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After 64 played minutes PS Gunung Sindur got a freekick which was hit by Ponco Gutawa. After 67 played minutes PS Gunung Sindur got a freekick which was hit by Anas Lubis. PS Gunung Sindur's Djati Sujarwadi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulysses Linares in the 68th minute of play. With 69 minutes on the clock, Yonas Simanungkalit commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. When Nando Zonta came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the América-SC F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nando Zonta couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute, Abdi Kartiwa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the PS Gunung Sindur defense, Paulo Antunes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Djati Sujarwadi. The PS Gunung Sindur fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Djati Sujarwadi should have stopped the shot. With an all-out effort, América-SC F.C.'s Djati Sujarwadi threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Juvenal Seco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Luizinho Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dono Ginanjar, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The América-SC F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing América-SC F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
