Cezar Ailenei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiktor Kornaszewski in the 5th minute of play. With a little luck, New York Red Bulls's Cezar Ailenei got control of the ball when Hugon Nocny tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cezar Ailenei was a little too slow when Wiktor Kornaszewski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-0. After 16 minutes, Radu Jilăveanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New York Red Bulls and the Ekipa Damcia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th play minute Hugon Nocny came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cezar Ailenei. 2-0. In the 22nd minute Wiktor Kornaszewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cezar Ailenei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. New York Red Bulls were furious when Marcu Leu was red carded, 26 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The crowd rose to their feet as Ekipa Damcia's Izydor Czerniak slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cezar Ailenei. That made the score 4-0 after 30 minutes of play. The supporters of New York Red Bulls booed when Ekipa Damcia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tytus Rydz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kazimierz Terasek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horea Groza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wiktor Kornaszewski in the 39th minute of play forced New York Red Bulls's goalkeeper Cezar Ailenei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Tytus Rydz notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of New York Red Bulls's Cezar Ailenei. Cezar Ailenei was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Horea Groza to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hugon Nocny in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cezar Ailenei prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boruc Rosiewicz in the 53rd minute of play forced New York Red Bulls's goalkeeper Cezar Ailenei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cezar Ailenei didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Boruc Rosiewicz went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Izydor Czerniak struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Cezar Ailenei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ekipa Damcia. New York Red Bulls's Cezar Ailenei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Izydor Czerniak in the 62nd minute of play. After 64 minutes, George Peptan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New York Red Bulls and the Ekipa Damcia players grew even worse after the yellow card. George Peptan kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Cezar Ailenei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wiktor Kornaszewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the match, New York Red Bulls's goal looked a bit too open when Tytus Rydz came free, but Cezar Ailenei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tytus Rydz in the 76th minute of play forced New York Red Bulls's goalkeeper Cezar Ailenei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Ekipa Damcia's Wiktor Kornaszewski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cezar Ailenei narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, George Peptan managed to get in a good position for a shot. New York Red Bulls's supporters rose to their feet, but George Peptan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kazimierz Terasek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of New York Red Bulls booed when Ekipa Damcia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Skaradoski didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Ekipa Damcia's Hugon Nocny got a free kick in the 84th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Tytus Rydz notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of New York Red Bulls's Cezar Ailenei. Cezar Ailenei was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. During the 94th minute of the match Hugon Nocny completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Hugon Nocny a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 94 played minutes Ekipa Damcia got a freekick which was hit by Hugon Nocny. For all the effort they put into the match, the New York Red Bulls players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ekipa Damcia.
