Carlo Markham charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlo Markham the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 3 played minutes Seraċini Għawdxin got a freekick which was hit by Carlo Markham. 4 minutes into the match, Seraċini Għawdxin's goalkeeper Steve Rizzo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stig-Ove Mikaelsson. 8 minutes into the match, William Manicolo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kristoffer Vester. Kolsva FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that William Manicolo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clayton Vella in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kristoffer Vester prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kristoffer Vester came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Seraċini Għawdxin's Clayton Vella. But to his dismay, Clayton Vella quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The audience was convinced that William Manicolo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kristoffer Vester was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Timothy Cini blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kristoffer Vester having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, William Manicolo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Seraċini Għawdxin's supporters rose to their feet, but William Manicolo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kristoffer Vester breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd match minute, Kolsva FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malte Nyqvist to maneuver through the defense. Kristoffer Vester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clayton Vella in the 24th minute of play. Kristoffer Vester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timothy Cini in the 29th minute of play. After some careless play in the Kolsva FK defense, Clayton Vella kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kristoffer Vester. The Kolsva FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kristoffer Vester should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Seraċini Għawdxin's Josh Ellul got a free kick in the 40th minute. Stig-Ove Mikaelsson struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Steve Rizzo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kolsva FK. Kristoffer Vester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Gruppetta in the 45th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stig-Ove Mikaelsson was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Manicolo in the 51st minute of play forced Kolsva FK's goalkeeper Kristoffer Vester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling William Manicolo in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kristoffer Vester prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kristoffer Vester made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Timothy Cini sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Kolsva FK's Kristoffer Vester got control of the ball when Clayton Vella tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edward Gruppetta during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 60th minute, Edward Gruppetta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Malte Nyqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Seraċini Għawdxin getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Josh Ellul hit a great ball. Josh Ellul received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Kristoffer Vester tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Kolsva FK's goal looked a bit too open when William Manicolo came free, but Kristoffer Vester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clayton Vella's late challenge caught a Kolsva FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Clayton Vella helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st minute, Clayton Vella hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th match minute, Kolsva FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Ove Mikaelsson to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Seraċini Għawdxin booed when Kolsva FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Hellbom didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clayton Vella got free with Kristoffer Vester in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 87 minutes, Edward Gruppetta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Seraċini Għawdxin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edward Gruppetta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joe Petroni kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The Kolsva FK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Seraċini Għawdxin were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
