In the 12th minute, Placido Garci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Delmar Leheren got free with Cecilio Garci in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Francisco Rojelio hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Osvaldo Mel came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Leon Platense's Saul Beltza. But to his dismay, Saul Beltza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 26 minutes into the game, Ruperto Tercero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Cecilio Garci was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leon Guilabertus during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Leon Platense getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Leon Guilabertus hit a great ball. Arnoldo Frutos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Cecilio Garci skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Cecilio Garci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruperto Tercero, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arnoldo Frutos made a kick off. Delmar Leheren kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute Ruperto Tercero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cecilio Garci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Delmar Leheren's late challenge caught a Leon Platense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Delmar Leheren helped the player get up and apologised. Delmar Leheren hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Leon Platense's Angelino Galindo got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ruperto Tercero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Cecilio Garci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saul Beltza's late challenge caught a ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leon Platense's Cecilio Garci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adan Musko in the 71st minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Leon Platense's goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Frutos came free, but Cecilio Garci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ruperto Tercero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cecilio Garci having to interfere. If Arnoldo Frutos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leon Platense's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmar Leheren in the 96th minute of play forced Leon Platense's goalkeeper Cecilio Garci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
