Domeka Talavera came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Bisturi F.C.'s Cosimo Gaeta. But to his dismay, Cosimo Gaeta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some careless play in the Tirant lo Blanch defense, Dario Mazzei kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Domeka Talavera. The Tirant lo Blanch fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Domeka Talavera should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniele Piccirilli in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Domeka Talavera saved Tirant lo Blanch from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Cosimo Gaeta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Domeka Talavera was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Dario Mazzei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domeka Talavera having to interfere. 39 minutes into the game, Alessio Ferrante cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Domeka Talavera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When García Gonzalvez fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tirant lo Blanch's protests and gave García Gonzalvez a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Tirant lo Blanch's García Gonzalvez got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Bisturi F.C.'s Emanuele Donadoni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anxelu Casillas in the 46th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Tirant lo Blanch's goal looked a bit too open when Daniele Piccirilli came free, but Domeka Talavera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anxelu Casillas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ivón Barroso scored 1-3 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emanuele Donadoni, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Amos Fata was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 56 minutes into the match. García Gonzalvez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Emanuele Donadoni. Bisturi F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Dario Marcelli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Domeka Talavera. Tirant lo Blanch's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dario Marcelli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. 66 minutes into the match, Tirant lo Blanch's goal looked a bit too open when Cosimo Gaeta came free, but Domeka Talavera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tirant lo Blanch's Domeka Talavera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Tirant lo Blanch from getting a goal against them. In the 70th minute, Daniele Piccirilli made a precise shot to the right of Domeka Talavera. Tirant lo Blanch's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. Bisturi F.C.'s Ercole Cesare was substituted for Daniele Piccirilli. Tirant lo Blanch's Domeka Talavera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cosimo Gaeta in the 75th minute of play. The supporters of Bisturi F.C. booed when Tirant lo Blanch was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Zapater didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute, Alain Morientes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Tirant lo Blanch fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Bisturi F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
