The referee ignored Kings's protests and gave Rupertas Budreckas a yellow card for diving instead. After 4 played minutes Kings got a freekick which was hit by Rupertas Budreckas. In the 6th minute, Blau Weiß Sauerland's Marten Bienstock dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 18 minutes into the match, Benjamin Siemienski notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Kings's Jotautas Gutauskas. Jotautas Gutauskas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 22 minutes into the game, Valdemaras Alukas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Merten Schütz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jotautas Gutauskas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marten Bienstock in the 26th minute. Jotautas Gutauskas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marten Bienstock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benjamin Siemienski charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benjamin Siemienski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Blau Weiß Sauerland's Benjamin Siemienski got a free kick in the 32nd minute. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Florian Dähne put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jotautas Gutauskas. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 53rd minute, Aistis Mečionis fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Marten Bienstock's late challenge caught a Kings's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marten Bienstock helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Blau Weiß Sauerland getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Marten Bienstock hit a great ball. Valdemaras Alukas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Merten Schütz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. With a little luck, Blau Weiß Sauerland's Merten Schütz got control of the ball when Rupertas Budreckas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Max Banken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jotautas Gutauskas having to interfere. The supporters of Blau Weiß Sauerland booed when Kings was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Algirdas Kšanavičius didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benjamin Siemienski in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jotautas Gutauskas saved Kings from getting behind. Esra Mühlichen kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Herkus Survila got free with Merten Schütz in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Kings's Marius Medišauskas got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After a rather tough play, Kings's Algirdas Kšanavičius got a free kick in the 74th minute. Wolfgang Burgmeier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jotautas Gutauskas having to interfere. The Kings fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jotautas Gutauskas should have stopped the shot. Valdemaras Alukas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, Merten Schütz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Kings's Jotautas Gutauskas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marten Bienstock in the 88th minute of play. Blau Weiß Sauerland walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
