In the 25th match minute, Pombal 2003 F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafa do Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomas Olazarra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Moreno's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. In the 73rd play minute Naldo de Queirós came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Tomas Olazarra. 0-4. Gilson Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florian Secanell, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. 81 minutes into the match, El Pinar's goal looked a bit too open when Naldo de Queirós came free, but Tomas Olazarra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cordarrol Montez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilson Arósio having to interfere. Betão Félix hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Tomas Olazarra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Moreno in the 91st minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Pombal 2003 F.C. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
