After some careless play in the Icoara Football Club defense, Juan Romero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Caetano Monteiro. The Icoara Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Caetano Monteiro should have stopped the shot. In the 19th minute, Nicasio Frederico made a precise shot to the right of Caetano Monteiro. Icoara Football Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicasio Frederico in the 25th minute of play forced Icoara Football Club's goalkeeper Caetano Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fermin Hotz took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Caetano Monteiro. But to his dismay, Nicasio Frederico quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Roman Elorri's late challenge caught a Icoara Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roman Elorri helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Icoara Football Club booed when Scofield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roman Elorri didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Etxatxu in the 38th minute of play forced Icoara Football Club's goalkeeper Caetano Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 40 minutes of play, Scofield's Denis Aballe made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Caetano Monteiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adolfo Colon in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Caetano Monteiro saved Icoara Football Club from getting behind. In the 60th minute, Fabrício Rosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute Adolfo Colon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caetano Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denis Aballe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Caetano Monteiro made a huge save. Scofield's Nicasio Frederico got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Scofield's Caetano Monteiro threw himself towards the right post 76 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nicasio Frederico, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 77 minutes into the game, Scofield's Juan Romero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Caetano Monteiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. After 81 minutes of play, Scofield's Nicasio Frederico made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Caetano Monteiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! With an extended leg and a bit of luck Caetano Monteiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Juan Romero in the 96thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Caetano Monteiro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
