Vito Vidal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vitor Sarceada's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Ipar Estebanes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Túlio Hermes, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. The corner ended in Diguinho de Senna almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Ipar Estebanes did a great save. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Tony Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's supporters rose to their feet, but Tony Dias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ipar Estebanes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Faustão Alagoano hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Vito Vidal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Padro Elano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Túlio Hermes was the one to do the kick off. When Raulo Orodea came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Imperio Catatumbo de Lara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raulo Orodea couldn't finish the play. In the 52nd minute, Everardo Bellogin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raulo Orodea in the 58th minute of play forced CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's goalkeeper Vito Vidal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 60 minutes, Diguinho de Senna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE and the Imperio Catatumbo de Lara players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Diguinho de Senna hit a great ball. Ipar Estebanes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony Dias in the 63rd minute of play. Vitor Sarceada who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Vito Vidal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rubio Pando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vito Vidal having to interfere. In the 70th match minute, Imperio Catatumbo de Lara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raulo Orodea to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st match minute, CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clemente Prestes to maneuver through the defense. Túlio Hermes scored 1-0 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ipar Estebanes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vito Vidal made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Everardo Bellogin sent off a good shot on target. Clemente Prestes charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clemente Prestes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Clemente Prestes hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Bernardo Labora shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 77th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Vito Vidal but with some difficulty. Faustão Alagoano's late challenge caught a Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Faustão Alagoano helped the player get up and apologised. After 78 played minutes CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE got a freekick which was hit by Faustão Alagoano. Túlio Hermes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Ipar Estebanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Isaac Figueiras was substituted for Vitor Sarceada. Luís Paulo Paiva's late challenge caught a Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Paulo Paiva helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Imperio Catatumbo de Lara booed when CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Paulo Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Vito Vidal got control of the ball when Raulo Orodea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Rubio Pando got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE had won after a very even match.
