Spectators: 170 (Terracing: 128, Seating: 39, VIP seats: 3) YR Mechelen's Joel Vlimmens started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Stanny Van Wontergem was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 13th minute Nikolay Seliverstov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanny Van Wontergem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stepan Kirichenko in the 19th minute of play forced YR Mechelen's goalkeeper Stanny Van Wontergem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of FK Amur booed when YR Mechelen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ignace Maerschalcx didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stanny Van Wontergem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timofey Vekshin, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 0-5 became the score in the 29th minute when Timofey Vekshin elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Stanny Van Wontergem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stepan Kirichenko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in YR Mechelen's zone, Stepan Kirichenko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stanny Van Wontergem made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Grigoriy Gerson kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. In the 46th minute Nikolay Seliverstov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanny Van Wontergem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stanny Van Wontergem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikolay Seliverstov in the 47th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Timofey Vekshin made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as FK Amur's Timofey Vekshin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Stanny Van Wontergem. That made the score 0-7 after 51 minutes of play. When Ricky Tilemans fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored YR Mechelen's protests and gave Ricky Tilemans a yellow card for diving instead. FK Amur made a substitution. Roman Ryabin replaced Nikolay Seliverstov. After 54 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for YR Mechelen! The goalkeeper, Stanny Van Wontergem, was totally fooled by FK Amur's Yaroslav Samsonov, who 57 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After a rather tough play, YR Mechelen's Joel Vlimmens got a free kick in the 66th minute. Stanny Van Wontergem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timofey Vekshin, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Arkadiy Dubenskiy charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arkadiy Dubenskiy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 75 played minutes FK Amur got a freekick which was hit by Arkadiy Dubenskiy. 78 minutes into the match, YR Mechelen's goal looked a bit too open when Timofey Vekshin came free, but Stanny Van Wontergem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, YR Mechelen's Stanny Van Wontergem got control of the ball when Roman Ryabin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nil Dergachev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of YR Mechelen booed when FK Amur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arkadiy Dubenskiy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roman Ryabin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Stanny Van Wontergem made a huge save. 93 minutes into the match, YR Mechelen's goal looked a bit too open when Nil Dergachev came free, but Stanny Van Wontergem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over FK Amur could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than YR Mechelen throughout the match.
