Marius Cucerdean started the match with the kick off. Matej Dubík showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augustin Alecu in the 10th minute of the match. Matej Dubík made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costin Șipoș in the 20th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, White&Blue Lions-Stiinta-'s goal looked a bit too open when Andrej Sládkovič came free, but Claudiu Cobâlcescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudiu Cobâlcescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrej Sládkovič, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matej Adamek hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Marius Cucerdean struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Matej Dubík didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for White&Blue Lions-Stiinta-. After some careless play in the White&Blue Lions-Stiinta- defense, Juraj Habanec kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claudiu Cobâlcescu. The White&Blue Lions-Stiinta- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudiu Cobâlcescu should have stopped the shot. In the 45th minute, Juraj Habanec left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UFC Pivnica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1.

The wind increased when Andrej Sládkovič made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Andrej Sládkovič shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudiu Cobâlcescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Costin Șipoș recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claudiu Cobâlcescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juraj Habanec, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matej Dubík made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Augustin Alecu sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, White&Blue Lions-Stiinta-'s Mihnea Elefteriu got a free kick in the 76th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 84 minutes into the game, when Matej Adamek put in a rough tackle. When the match had been going on for 86 minutes, White&Blue Lions-Stiinta-'s Ivan Mereuță got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Matej Dubík. The crowd rose to their feet as Costin Șipoș kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Matej Dubík. That made the score 2-3 in the 89 minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, Ilie Măgureanu threw the ball into play from the sideline. UFC Pivnica's Michal Bačovčin quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The supporters of UFC Pivnica booed when White&Blue Lions-Stiinta- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ilie Măgureanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Augustin Alecu came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the White&Blue Lions-Stiinta- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augustin Alecu couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. White&Blue Lions-Stiinta- walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
