Leopoldo Lluques's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Porfírio Laureano skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Porfírio Laureano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvio Olo in the 83rd minute of play. Elvio Olo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Porfírio Laureano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elvio Olo couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Palermo AFC had played much better football throughout.
